I figured out why I was having such a hard time trying to design my own website. I kept trying to make it all busy and flashy with bright colors, dancing cats, etc. Which was just stupid. That’s not my style when it comes to design work. I’m more of the clean, sharp lines and lots of white space kind of girl. So I went simple. And I’m digging it. I’m still getting all the content plugged in but most of my portfolio is on there (minus the print stuff which is going to take forever to get online) as well as the contact info. If you guys have time, I’d love it if you’d drop by and let me know if you find any dead links, missing pics, etc. Remember though, it’s a work in progress so everything’s not there yet.

Hey Kim.
I liked the simplicity of the home page. I don’t know if you intend to keep it green and white with small writing, but I think it works that way. It’s also the sort of recognisable logo you could transpose easily and cheaply onto business cards and flyers as well by keeping it grren and white like that.
The only suggestions I would make are (1) in the Portfolio page perhaps make the various options font size a little larger if you aren’t going to include anything else on that page except the writing, and (2) for all the internal pages, perhaps a little bit of colour might help. The green and white works well for the home page and corp logo, but inside looks a little sparce right now, especially since the writing is small. But that’s only my view, obviously. Anyway, it looks great. Good luck with it.

Simple and effectual, the way I like it. It takes you 3 seconds to know where you are and what to look for.
I would ,too, change the font one point larger. The rest works with me. Good luck.
